BALLYTEIGUE House started in 1973 as Farmhouse B and B closed 1983. In 1991 reopened as Ballyteigue House Guesthouse. It got listed in one of the best 100 places to stay in Ireland and in some guides and one of the best 50.
Owners retired in 2004 and reopened Ballyteigue for Tourist Self-Catering, Courtyard Cottage started in late 1970’s and with continued upgrading continues to attract people. The ancient building and stone work is attractive to lots of city dwellers and the peace and quite an added attraction. The main house is Georgian in style and but built in 1840’s . There is continuing upgrading.
We are situated in Park Land with views of the Ballyhoura Mountains. Ballyteigue has been host to people from all over the world . It has enriched our lives and we hope we send people away with a positive view of our beautiful country and people. A lot of our visitors are of Irish decent and are thrilled with the rural landscape and the people they meet.
