BIG DAY IN BRUREE
Sunday, September 9th will be a big day in the parish of Rockhill-Bruree with events to mark the blessing and official opening of the New Community Complex at Bruree Sportsfield comprising of the New dressing rooms and the Community pre school.
We will also have a special event to mark 125 Years since the foundation of Brú Rí GAA. Among the events planned are A Duck Race on the river Maigue at 1pm.
A parade through the village of children from St. Patrick’s National School Bruree Led by the Limerick C.B.S Pipe Band.
The blessing and official opening of the complex by Fr. Willie Walsh P.P.
The unveiling of a commemorative plaque. An exhibition of GAA Photographs. An under-age Blitz for the Ann Potter Memorial Cup. The Cutting Of The Brú Rí Cake. This is an open invitation to all in the community to attend. Refreshments will be provided. Brú Rí Abú ????
Also To Celebrate Our Big Day The LIAM MacCARTHY CUP will be with us along with a selection of players from the winning All Ireland Senior Hurling Champions Limerick. More news will follow in the coming days.
